Sweet garden wedding

I have the sweetest wedding for you today from Lavara Photography. Natalie & Johnny involved their entire family when it came to their wedding details. Her dress, which I have to say is just so lovely and romantic, was created using both her mother's and grandmother's dresses and another of the grandmas did the flowers. They meet the day before Natalie's 14th birthday and as she tells it...

I saw him, my heart stopped, and I thought to myself "he's the guy i want to marry..." He saw me, was stunned, and knew I was the girl he need to go after... We spent the conference just starring at each and talking! We then went back to our home cities, with each others cell numbers, and spent the next three years texting... it was hilarious and so much fun! Long distance was fun but very hard, too many awful and tearful airport goodbyes... but our love for each other got us through! He moved to Auckland beginning of 2009, and we've spent every available moment with each other. I think dating long distance was quite important in our relationship. We really learnt to appreciate each others friendship and time with each other.

  4. This post makes me smile for a gazillion reasons. First of all, I'm an avid reader of your blog Kate...I love what you do! Secondly, Natalie and Johnny are super special friends of mine! ...It's a fun kind of weirdness to log on and see photos of a wedding you actually recognize!! These days I live in the States but I was blessed enough to be able to return to Auckland for this wedding (I even see a silloueted me in the background of one of these pics! haha). Keep up the fab work girl!
