Real Wedding: Lara + Hendré II

Describe your wedding flowers:
We set a romantic and vintage mood with the choice of flowers. The combination of cream, light pink and mauve roses and white lisianthus featured in every part of the day from the bouquets and arrangements at the ceremony to the table centres and even the decorations of the cake.
Favourite detail of the day:
Our florist created lots of pretty touches, such as the pearls wrapped around the stem of my bouquet. For my “something blue” my brother’s girlfriend made little hearts from blue rhinestones, which were glued underneath my shoes.
What advice would you give out to someone planning their wedding?
Use the web and work through a lot of magazines for inspiration and ideas. Enjoy the planning together!!
Most memorable moment?
Lara: “My most memorable moment was when I got to the front of the church and I saw a little tear in Hendré’s eyes.”
Hendré: “My most memorable moment was when we were announced, husband and wife, and the first kiss I gave Lara, as my wife.”
What’s next for you as a couple?
We have settled in Port Elizabeth and we are enjoying married life!! We love travelling and we are planning to see more of the world before starting with a family.
