Mid winter wedding...

A mid winter wedding in New Zealand is always something of a risk weather wise, but as you can see from these stunning photos by Greta Kenyon of Vela Images, Rebecca & Stephen hit the jackpot on their day with clear skies, which I can tell you was something of a rarity in Auckland this summer!! Before I hand you over to the ever lovely Greta, can we just take a moment to soak in the beauty of Rebecca's Kate Dowman dress... I'm LOVING the gorgeous hand beaded detailing around the neckline. And the shoes can't go without a mention as well (from Tiffany in Spain) - Rebecca you are one stylish bride!!

When Stephen and Rebecca first contacted me they were living in Barcelona and were planning to come back to New Zealand in July 2010 to have a winter wedding at Mills Reef Winery. Organising a wedding from the other side of the world might seem like a daunting task to some but I have to say that Rebecca was one of the most calm and serene brides I have ever worked with.

Stephen the dashing groom is an Australian and Rebecca is a New Zealander. Together they have lived in London, Barcelona and now they reside in Hungary. So as you can imagine this globe trotting couple had friends and family coming from many different parts of the world to celebrate their wedding and I do have to say that they have a fantastic group of friends and family. My assistant Sarah and I had a lot of fun photographing the day and a few more laughs than usual rounding up and meeting some of the more cheeky guests at our photo booth later on at the reception.
