I'm holding on to the last days of summer for dear life and whilst it's still beautiful out there and lovely and warm right now, there's no denying there's a change in the air. The light has that early autumn look to it, in the shade it's just that much more cooler. Having only been in our house for five months, I love seeing it with fresh eyes in each season... it's actually amazing how much of a difference I notice with the different light, where it falls in the house now as opposed to a few months back. I can't wait to get some big trees planted so we have lovely Autumn foliage next year. Everyone keeps telling me how annoying it'll be with leaves all over the driveway but I don't care... I want lovely bright colourful leaves everywhere!! This board to me is early Autumn... not quite into the rich reds and yellows that late Autumn brings, still with that hint of summer freshness.

I'm sure New Zealand looks perfect now that is early Autumn, there! The board (like all your boards) is beautiful... i love how you always manage to tell a story with them.

Oh Kate ~ this is early autumn captured perfectly!!! And I totally agree with you - who cares about the leaves...get the trees ;-))) Plus there's nothing like having the niece come over and play in them!!! I always found it fascinating how the light changes in the house throughout the seasons!!! And you know you had me at artichokes!!!! Fabulous colors and I love this board! I swear I don't know if I would ever be able to choose a favorite ~ because I love them all! Each one evokes different feelings and memories for me! Time captured is an amazing talent to have ~ and you my friend have that talent!!!

I LOOOVE this! The orange and green are so bright, cheery, and perfectly fall-like! Makes me want fall all over again and we're just heading into spring here! Must enjoy that first... Fall will come all too soon again!
I'm soooo loving this board! It is so hot in LA right now I'm already dreaming of fall :)
