Christmas Wish List {Bedroom}

Christmas Eve.... are you kidding me? Well I hope you're all a lot further on in your preparations than I am. Last night after trying 5 different places I finally found a tree!! I am making a promise to myself that this time next year will be very different, none of the craziness that this last few months has held!  I have more to say before the year is out but right now my brain is mush and I can't think straight so we'll save that for another post! So today is the last of my wishlists... as you can see the ol' wardrobe is a very sad second best to house buys these days!!! But a couple of new items would certainly not go amiss right now!!

To see my other wish lists click here and here.

1. Crystal Ball Electric Lantern... I'm so excited as yesterday I actually found an almost exact replica  here in NZ!!! Here's hoping it's on sale next week and I can convince the husband that yes we do need this in our house!
2. Round bone inlayed mirror... like the look of this with the lantern
3. Mercury Trinket box... a few of these would look so pretty on my dresser
4. Velvet Mulberry Quilt... I love the word Mulberry and love the colour even more. Soo pretty!!
5. Linen Cushion in Mulberry... yep see above!
6. Plaid shirt... must have!!
7. Cute blouse... to wear for summer bbq's
8. Illusorio Cabinet... love this style of cabinet... the old printer tray drawer look. This one is more practical though actually opening as a cupboard and wider drawers
9. Piano Stool... been on the lookout for one of these for a while.

Christmas Wish List {Living + Kitchen}

I realise this wish list is a little more than a standard 'please Santa I've been a good girl and I'd really appreciate it if you could just pop one or two of these wee items under the tree for me' request! And as much as I'd love to have even one of these lovely things, it's actually serving a greater purpose and helping me work out a few things on the home decor front. The problem I have is I could have about 5 different living rooms (make that houses!) all with completely different looks and love them all equally. I'm surprised at what's come together below to be honest... I think in parts it's simply what I found without taking too much time to dig, but I'm definitely on the lookout for a rug, that's on the priority list! I'm kinda surprised there's no green and so much red though.

1. I love the folk art design on these gorgeous cups from... yep you guessed it - Anthropologie!
2. It's the mix of patterns on these gorgeous vases that appeals... oh and they come in green too!!
3. I have such a thing for copper right now, so would love a little collection of interesting vessels.
4. I'm not sure I could bring myself to use these gorgeous quilts, I'd just like them piled onto a beautiful dresser like this. From French Country Collections.
5. Lovely raw linen teatowels from Wallace Cotton
6. These cafe style chairs from French Country would look lovely around the vintage dining table I have in my head!
7. I adore everything in the Lombok store in the UK and just love the shape of this chair.
8. I simply MUST have these lights over my bench top... LOVE them!!
9. Again - Anthro - the rope detail on these stools is gorgeous!
10. Pottery Barn rug... think it's going to be a long drawn out process to the find the perfect one!

Style Me Pretty feature with Simply Bloom

I know many of you probably saw this on Style Me Pretty last week but hey you can't blame a girl for reposting it right? I mean this is possibly one of the most, if not THE most exciting things to have happened in my career. A few weeks ago one of my favourite photography duo's, Simply Bloom, said that they loved the inspiration boards I put together and that they'd love to do a shoot around one. Well of course I just thought all my Christmas's had come at once!! Then they asked me to do the stationery for said shoot and well it was all on!! It's no secret that I have loved their work for some time, and have often featured it in my posts. Of course in between all our communicaton, my computer nightmare happened (yeh remember that day my hard drive died!) and I had about 3 days to get the stationery to the US which at this time of year is nigh impossible... but hey Christine and Vania worked their magic and look how it all turned out! First up the board...

And then the stunning shoot that they did around it. Isn't it just gorgeous... who wouldn't love to have their Christmas table looking just like this? I adore the little mugs with the peppermint candy on the rim!! So sweet... and the bows... it's all just perfection! A thousand thank yous to Simply Bloom for giving me this opportunity!

and a closer look at the stationery...

Christmas Wish List {The Office}

Good morning everyone and welcome to a fresh new week... Christmas week at that!! Have you finished all your shopping yet? I finally bought my first one yesterday... for the 4 yr old niece and that was as far as we got before we stopped for lunch and never resumed :-) Still five days left right??
I have been meaning to do up some mood boards for each room of our new house so I know what direction I want to head in when it comes to decorating them... I have such a broad range of tastes that sometimes it's hard to define exactly which way I want to go. So when I thought about putting together a bit of a Christmas Wish List (and believe me 'wish' is the operative word here right now!) I figured this kinda kills two birds with one stone as they can stand in for my inspiration boards pretty much. We'll start with the office today since that is where I spend most of my time!! Now admittedly this was put together in haste and I didn't have too long to spend searching around the interwebs so I just headed straight to a few of my favourite online stores and never moved on! For today's Office Wish list... well it's pretty much straight out of Pottery Barn. I love the office furniture they have available... and could quite happily deck out my whole room - house even - from there. There's a definite theme going on here, with mostly neutral rustic or slightly vintage elements... I'd just add colour with some temporary and easily changeable items so I could switch them out seasonally. Yep I'm pretty happy with this look... now I just need to hunt high and low to find similar items in New Zealand. If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd love to hear :-)

1.Galvinized Metal Pails from Pottery Barn - I'm not sure that these would look quite so good with my hotch-potch of pens so I may just have to display pretty single colour items in there like this.
2. Cavallini File Folders - I adore Cavallini stationery and these are such a fun way to keep your papers in order.
3. Grand Phone - why can they not make phones to look this cool these days?
4. Zinc Mail Storage - love the look of this to keep mail or magazines in, or even rolls of gorgeous decorative paper.
5. Rustic Wall Organiser - I have been coveting this fantastic wall organiser for quite some time now... and if I had a trip to the US planned this would absolutely be accompanying me on the plane home!
6. Ordinal Dresser - I LOVE LOVE LOVE this!!! And desperately want it in my office!!
7. Cavallini Calender - I've bought one of these the past two years running and for 2011 I think I'm going for the Garden one... best of all they make for fantastic pictures to frame once the month is past.
8. Roving Rays Lamp - love the shape of this, it would be perfect on the white trestle desk I'm planning on finding!
9. White Cubby Organiser - I think I have a think for numbers!! Oh the options of what to display in here are endless!!!
