Beautiful apple orchard shoot from Kate Robinson Photography

Get ready to have your socks knocked off with this gorgeous shoot from Kate Robinson. Sunflare... check, apple orchard... check, stunning flowers... check, gorgeous people... check.  What more do you need? It's got it all!! Sadly we're loosing Kate to Australia soon however she's still going to be popping back to shoot weddings throughout the year. Here's what Kate had to say...

Kerry & Aaron have to be my most photographed couple! To date, I have photographed them 5 times on separate occasions; their Engagement, Wedding, both of their immediate families and this Encore shoot. I think the word 'Encore' is perfect for this type of shoot. The origin of the word came from: "Whenever any Gentlemen are particularly pleased with a Song, at their crying out Encore ... the Performer is so obliging as to sing it over again." With an Encore session, it's a chance for you to get in your wedding dress again and have photos somewhere you wouldn't have been able to for your wedding.

It actually rained A LOT on Kerry & Aaron's wedding day so they didn't get many photos outside. Kerry had always dreamed of having photos in long grass with lots of sun flare, so the Encore shoot was a perfect solution. This shoot was also for a promo video Jared Brandon - shot for me which is under production right now.

Oh and happy birthday to my lovely husband! I think we need an encore session honey? xo

Valentines Day Love Shoot

I was tickled pink when a certain fellow blogger alerted me to the fact that I'd been nominated for The Lovelies 2011 Awards. I also have a sneaking suspicion said blogger was the sweetheart who nominated me :-) I would be truly honoured if you voted for me... there are a lot of fabulous blogs in the lineup!

Whilst Valentine's day is over for those of us downunder, there are still girls eagerly awaiting the arrival of flowers or chocolates... or maybe even diamonds, somewhere in the world so I feel justified in still sharing a V-day inspired shoot with you. Eileen and Jonathan are happily married but wanted to do a shoot to honour their love so they enlisted the fabulously talented Breanna Conley (Say Bre Photography) to capture it. Breanna styled a romantic table featuring a giant cupcake, jars filled with honey, and little bumble bees she made herself, since the couple had made valentine's for one another saying 'bee mine'. The heart shaped rock was something they found on their wedding day which now has place of pride on their fireplace mantle. Thanks so much for sharing with us Breanna!!

Your vote would mean the world to me! Thank you xo

Love Shoot by Brancoprata

Today in the US they're celebrating a little holiday called Thanksgiving... which to me just seems like a dress rehearsal for Christmas... let's see how much food we can eat in the lead up!! I'm envious of all the excitement I hear from everyone over this holiday and in some ways it seems bigger than Christmas. I would love to one day be immersed in a snowy Thanksgiving celebration. So in honour (or should I say honor!) of this US holiday today, aside from the many things I'm obviously grateful for (computer techs being top of that list right now!), I'm very thankful for the wonderful friends I've made in the blogging community who despite their incredibly busy schedules still have time to help out a friend in need... ie; me!!! I knew with a sick computer I wouldn't be able to do much with the blog this week so I reached out to Sofia & André - the power duo of Brancoprata - and they ever so kindly shared this love shoot with me. These two are truly just ridiculously talented and seem to have taken over the wedding industry in Portugal! They're heading downunder in February and I cannot wait to meet them!

Sofia tells me they had a tonne of fun during Tânia & Alfredo's session which took place in Gaia - a city close to Porto - a few months after their wedding. If you want to check out their stunning wedding you can see it over on the Wedding Chicks blog here.

Happy Thanksgiving to all my US readers and friends.... sending you a big virtual hug xo

Love Shoot | Halloween Style

A shoot with a difference... just because it's Halloween and we can!! Jan from Green Tree Photography was kind enough to send over this fun and quirky shoot. Joe & Kristin love Halloween so it was the perfect theme to use for their 'in-love' session.
They sourced the hay bale and pumpkin from a local Alabama farmer who opens up his farm yearly for locals. I love the use of apples here!!
Be sure to check out more of Jan's work on her website and blog. Thanks for sharing with us guys!!
