When I lived in London a wee visit to Topshop was an absolute must on my way home on a Friday night (or any other night of the week for that matter!!) I loved that I could spend as little as 10-20 (um sidenote: how do you get a pound symbol on a mac keyboard?) and get something pretty to go on my way with and the thrill of having something new never gets old (actually these days I've forgotten that thrill.... must. go. shopping!). I love the art deco look of this sparkly number.

Today's Thursday Purseday post is cheap and cheerful.... just what I need after sinking ourselves back into paying off a mortgage!! A little bit folksy, a little bit hippy and a lot pretty... I love how these would take the simplest outfit of jeans and a tee from plain to pizazz!! All from Accessorize in the UK - this was my go to shop when I lived in London, it's a bit like Starbucks; one on every corner... well at least one in every train station!! I loved being able to pick up low priced fashion accessories - oh at least once a week - and having something new to jazz up an old outfit (believe me those days are sadly long gone!)

Today's edition of Thursday Purseday highlights a New Zealand Designer. Sarah Martin owns Rare Edition Designs and screen prints all her fabrics to make these gorgeous bags, each one authentically handmade in New Zealand. The fabrics are all limited editions so you can be sure you're not going to see the same bag on your neighbour when you bump into her at the mall! Always a good thing! I'm particularly fond of the saddle bag at the top and have had my eye on it for quite some time! As well as bags, she also sells a range of homeware products and some gorgeous wallets to match these bags.

I know I'm a bit late to the party but it's still Thursday in some places right? And you would be fully entitled to make a fashionable late entrance with these stylish satchel style bags from Fossil. The top one is my pick of the bunch (you notice that little vintage key on the left? LOVE!) but I'd be as happy as pig in mud with any of these. It'd be my daily go to, sling over the shoulder, strut down the street and try my best to look cool bag! Going on the Christmas list now!

I'm yet to jump on the Tuesday Shoesday bandwagon (not sure why since I am slightly obsessed with shoes!!) but I thought I'd have a bit of fun and search out a bag I really love for the new Thursday Purseday. Now working from home, my wardrobe has certainly gone through some major (ahem!!) changes since my corporate days (lets just say I'm far more comfortable now... it's totally de rigueur to wear pj's all day if you're not going anywhere right??), and the need for a handbag is not quite the same as when I was travelling by tube into London every day and had to fit my life in there! However even though the need is less, a girl should never be without a handbag or 5 or 6 at the ready!! Jigsaw in London was one of my favourite ever shops (and oh how I miss it!) so thought I'd pay them a visit and see what beauties they had... and well this one definitely has my name all over it!! I'm a pretty casual girl so I love that this could work for every day wear - and I'm sure no one would even notice the pj's if I had this over my shoulder right?
