Fuchsia Letterpress & Gold Foil Invitations...

Mixed Patterns - check. Envelope Liner - check. Belly Band - check. Rounded Corners - check. Pretty script font - check. MOST importantly... Letterpress - CHECK!! So excited to finally have this job to show you. Zana & Paul are getting married in Brisbane next week. I was so thrilled that she wanted to go bold in the use of pattern and shapes, and all combined I think the result was beautiful! I'm SO in love with this shape invite... and can't wait to do it again. Can also be done digitally if you're interested.

Fuchsia in Fusion Tea Party by {MAG}rouge

We decided to celebrate our announcement of {MAG}rouge with some of our friends in the wedding industry and what better way to do so with a fun tea party. We decided to move away from the vintage style tea partys that we all know and love, and do something a little different. As Judit has lived in China for several years she's quite the expert on the 'art of tea' so we gave it a little Asian/Moroccan twist, and featured several delicious teas from those areas. As well as that we had macarons, sago pudding, lemonade scones (recipe is in the magazine!!), and the most delicious chocolate torte you've ever tasted!! Naturally the gorgeous gorgeous photos are by the girls of Sutherland Kovach, and there honestly were people there, they were just all a little camera shy - ironic since most of them were photographers!! The fuchsia stationery was designed by moi, and I made little favour bags in the same print that was used on the stationery, and filled it with exotic tea.
If you head over to the {MAG}rouge facebook page a little later on today you'll find a 'how to' on one of the fabulous recipes Judit made us below. Of course we'd love it if you'd 'like us' whilst you're there :-)

Board#137: Fuchsia & Aqua...

I'm in the mood for some pretty spring like inspiration since winter just turned frikin' cold on us!! (ok not by some standards I know, but really why oh why do we not have central heating in our houses? And with wooden floors it's made all the more worse!!) Ok grumble over! This prettiest of colour combination's makes for a striking and bold look, although it would be easy to pare it down a little and use more muted shades too. I love the addition of the fuchsia cardigan on the bride!!

Board#64: Metallic Fuchsia

Ok, can someone please, pretty pretty please have a wedding in these colours!!! I am in love with this combination, it would look so gorgeous done well! It's quite the unexpected mix but I love the pop of fuchsia with the strong earthy tones. Perfect for a mid-season wedding, when the weather is a little cooler but still warm enough to wear these sensational fuchsia ruffled shoes.... they are quite simply to die for!

Board#47: Berry Burst

I'm starting off this Monday morning with an explosion of colour! It's unabashedly girly, not to mention very bold and happy! I'm usually more of a muted colour kind of girl, or at least with a neutral thrown in the mix but I wanted to start the week off with burst. I had a super cleansing and organising weekend which feels oh so great!! (It helped to have a husband who literally waited on me for the day and shopped, cooked all the meals AND cleaned!! Gotta love him!) It may be a cliche but tidy desk, tidy mind has never been truer. Not to mention NOTHING on the floor of my office - no piles of invites to be sorted, piles of paperwork, piles of card etc. Now lets see how long I can keep it that way!! I think it'll help me to have a super productive week!
Aren't the colours in this board stunning.....which would you choose to put your bridesmaids in? Perhaps each in a different berry shade? And you would just HAVE to have a pair of coloured shoes for this wedding! Of course you would have to have these gorgeous bowls of macarons dotted on the tables....and the choices for flowers are endless. Overflowing urns of rich jewel coloured blooms or an eclectic selection of vases with single stems?
Coming up this afternoon I have a fabulous giveaway so be sure to check back and get your entry in...you won't want to miss this! Have a fabulous Monday!

Board#15: Vibrant Earth

Whilst not really a pink girl, I do like the juxtaposition of it with this earthy olive green. The olive really tones the pink down, whilst the vibrant fuchsia lifts what could be quite a drab look into a new light. I'd be doing rustic tables featuring a hopsack, twine and succulents and then pretty pretty flowers for the contrast. Does anyone else REALLY really want an artichoke wreath on their door or is it just me??
