I recently designed this stationery suite for a shoot that Greta from Vela Images did for Issue 4 of {MAG}rouge. With a subtle mexican fiesta theme, it features an ombre background with some fun little canvas motifs, and a it all tied up with a little tag and twine. Kinda fun huh?

Mexican Chic shoot by Vela Images
I was very privileged to play a small part in this stunning shoot for {MAG}rouge by Vela Images. Greta kindly asked me to create a stationery suite for it and with such a fun theme how could I resist. Together with Shaye from On My Hand, Greta styled this beautiful shoot with a subtle Mexican influence to it. Didn't they do a beautiful job? So much to love about it... the incredible flowers by Melissa Greenough, the ever so stunning dresses by Rue de Seine, and the most gorgeous of locations at Kelliher Estate. Go ahead... feast your eyes!

Mexican Inspired wedding from Sutherland Kovach...
This wedding truly puts the F into fun!! I absolutely adore this take on a kiwi style Mexican fiesta! And what's more I love, love, love the way the fabulous Jasmine & Hannah of Sutherland Kovach have captured it... in that dreamy 'I so wish I was there' kinda way. And the talent doesn't stop with these two... Hannah's mother painted that amazing mural you see below that they used for the photobooth. How awesome is that!! Hannah shares a bit more about the day with us below... and before I go I have to wish my little sis a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! xo
Kristy and Mat's memorable trip to Mexico was the inspiration behind their fiesta-style wedding. The whole day was celebrated at the stunning Sawmill Cafe, an eclectically decorated venue in the little seaside town of Leigh, north of Auckland. Local stylist, Cath Lewis from Matakana Events Company was enlisted to oversee the incredible details throughout the venue. There were plenty of wonderful touches that really brought the day to life, including the multi-coloured candle altar, stationery designed and illustrated by a close artist friend, the colourful seating plan, the cake decorated with miniature papel picados, the essential pinata and who could forget the gorgeous bouquet-munching donkey. We even decided to get in the act with a surprise hand painted mural for the photobooth, otherwise known as a passe-tete. Guests needed little encouragement to stick their heads through carefully placed holes, to transform into flamenco style performers. A totally unforgettable day and epic celebration!
