Round up | Lace back Wedding dresses

If I had my time over again I would definitely be taking this direction with my dress. These lace backs are utterly divine! I've gathered a few of my favourites for you. I would have a hard time picking my absolute favourite but I adore the BHLDN one (top left of the second set of pictures), and the top right one in the bottom set of images. So so pretty!! And of course you can't go past a Claire Pettibone design for the most exquisite of lace backs. I'd love to know what your pick would be?

Board#199: Peach & Lace

Happy Friday folks!! It's a VERY happy Friday for me. If you haven't caught up with my Facebook page, it's my birthday tomorrow, and my fabulous hubby planned a wonderful night last night with all my nearest and dearest. He told me about two weeks ago that he had a surprise planned for my actual birthday... and then last weekend told me I'd have to get up at 5.30am. I couldn't for the life of me think what we would be doing that required me getting up that early and I ruled out going anywhere too far as he'd told me that puppy Charlie would be involved and that he was playing golf Sunday morning (threw me a dummy there!!). So in the middle of the party last night he told me that we were going to Melbourne for three days!! Woohoo!! I was gobsmacked (I think my reaction here says it all!!!). I can't believe he's been planning this for weeks, all my friends and family have known, and I never suspected a thing! He's booked us into Nobu (we had one of our best meals ever at Nobu in Hawaii a few years back) for dinner tomorrow, I have a spa session thanks to some wonderful girlfriends, and a weekend of eating and shopping is planned. So so excited!!

So I'll leave you with the delightful colour palette of peach and pale blue while I start planning what to pack (and doing a bit of scrambling making sure I don't leave any clients in the lurch with this unexpected break!!). Have a fabulous weekend everyone!

Board#165: French Lace

If you're anything like me you'll be yearning for a European holiday after seeing this board. Oh to be wandering the cobblestone streets of Salzburg, travelling through the lovely villages in the South of France, exploring the narrow alley ways of Venice, taking in the beauty of the fiords in Norway, gazing up at the amazing churches in Estonia... I could go on forever! I feel so lucky that I have managed to see a lot of Europe but it's been a few years now and I am itching to return, quite simply to just wander and soak it all up. When I travel I just love to explore (the husband not so much... he likes to know what we're doing!!) and see how the other half live. I always want to immerse myself into their lives just for a short spell! Anyhow before I get too carried away with my soliloquy, where does this board take you to? Or where does it have you wanting to visit? Wherever it is I'm sure you'll agree it makes for the prettiest of wedding inspiration right? Living in a young country like New Zealand we don't have these types of amazing buildings and I always think they make for the most elegant of venues.

On my table...

Happy weekend!! Do you have any exciting plans? We were SO incredibly lucky to have been given tickets to tonight's semi final of the rugby, so we're off to that which should be fun!! And we potentially have tickets to the big game tomorrow too.... will find out later today! I've gotta say it's all getting a bit nerve wracking thinking about the result of that game!! Aside from that I have a lot of work to get through as well and a few things to do around the house.
I've decided that I need to start making an effort with dressing my dining table. I have lots of things tucked away that don't see the light of day often enough, so I'm going to make a conscious plan to change the table setting every couple of weeks. And I'm SO excited to be getting a new dining table soon which will make it even more fun! Have a super weekend folks xo

Board #127: Feathers & Lace

Here we are at Monday morning again!! Did you have a nice weekend? Yesterday was a gorgeous warm autumn day here, which was lovely after all the rain we've had lately. Perfect chance to get out in the garden and tidy it up for winter. It actually got really hot out there. Wouldn't this colour scheme be perfect for a cozy winter wedding? I just love that flower arrangement with the feathers and the subtle touch of red in it. It seems to me like it would take pride of place in a hunting lodge... which I think would make for the most amazing winter wedding venue, imagine the fun you could have with that 'theme'. Here's hoping your week is off to a good, productive start!

Board#72: Tales of Texture

Ask anyone who knows me... I'm a neutral girl. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE colour, but I go with mostly neutrals and throw in a dash of colour in my personal life. Brown especially - it's such an underrated colour! And texture... well that just brings everything to life really doesn't it. So a collection like this really makes my heart sing. From lace to wool, bricks to wood, I love all of it. And if you stick to neutrals you can combine so many elements within your wedding to create your own unique look.

Board#67: Salmon & Lace

Welcome to another Monday morning... hope you had a nice weekend. I had an all too brief visit to the country yesterday where I got to feed some sheep and a interesting looking little fella called a Kunekune pig (bread roll for his dessert.. nom, nom). As much as I love city living, there's always been more than a little bit of a country girl in me, and this short visit has made me even more anxious to get into our new little place (only 10 weeks to go!!), not sure if we'll have room for a Kunekune, but perhaps a little lamb to keep the grass short?
Anyway onto today's board which is about as far away from pigs as you can get... I'm sure I've mentioned my love of this colour combination more than once, and I think it'll be a while before I tire of it. It's so feminine and pretty without having to be overly girly. Suitable for both a beach or a garden wedding, I think it's a winning combination. Have a great week folks!
