Oh how wonderful this is! I'm in the US and as such cannot attend but will go to the site and see how I may be able to help a bit. This issue touches our home in a personal way.

I had endometriosis. I'm 51 and back in the early days they didn't know much about the disease. Infertility ensued and it's remarkable that I was able to conceive (with medical intervention) and bear a child. Due to endometriosis, I had a hysterectomy at 38.

That child, my daughter, is 19, engaged, and set to marry on May 29, 2010. She has severe endometriosis, diagnosed at the tender age of 15. She has had surgery and been on too many varying Rx's, most recently completed 6 months of Lupron intramuscular injections which she gave herself. The cost has been high ($1250 per injection) but our daughter's best care is worth it. No matter the monetary cost. There are so many unpleasant, painful and fearful parts of this disease. Her fiance is one of a kind, coming alongside to help care for her through the tough times. He stands far above most young men, and we’re so appreciative.

Their wedding will be simple as our budget is modest. A wedding in the park with picnic style fare at the reception. For the ceremony the guests will stand in a semi circle - an embrace. The picnic area has a lattice covering and we're planning to hang orange and white paper lanterns as well as navy blue pom poms. The wedding colors chosen are white, orange and navy blue...EMS colors. Emergency Medical Services.

You see, my daughter is an EMT student as well as a Senior Lifeguard (year round) and her future FIL is a Paramedic/Fire Fighter. Her fiance is in Theology school and will be a youth pastor.

Their vision together is to reach out to hurting youth, be it emotionally, medically or both. Somehow. Lovely vision. I look forward with sweet expectation to what their future holds.

Thank you for posting about this event.
