The long and short of it
Whilst the majority of brides still opt for a longer length dress, wearing a cocktail/knee length one will certainly ensure you stand out. From pretty ballerina style dresses, to vintage 1940's inspired looks, to modern sheaths, a short dress is fun, playful and very hip! And remember even if you see a longer dress that you like the details of, there's no reason why you can't have it adapted into a short version....just ask your dressmaker and see if it's possible.

My daughter has opted for a short dress, a fitted sheath style in taffeta. Gorgeous.
Hello there
Thank you so much for the lovely advice on the night of the Charity Ball. I will definitely look up the eyelashes in Wellington. As discussed my wedding is in January and I am starting to freak out. My bridesmaids are wearing red and I would love some suggestions matching colours for flowers, table arrangements etc. The girls may have pink sashes on their dresses therefore will check out your pink board on the Monday. Thanks for such a great blog so stunning!
Regards,
Apaula
