Real Wedding: Emma + Alistair

These are just the most delightful photos I've seen of a bride getting ready so they're getting a post all of their own. Michele Austen is new to the Magnolia Rouge blog and I'm delighted to be featuring this wedding of her's to debut her talents! More of the this gorgeous wedding coming up soon. But first the story of their beginnings as told by the lovely bride, Emma;

Alistair went to Dilworth boys and I went to Diocesan School for Girls, his band often played at our school, as a teen I remember seeing him up on the stage rocking away. However it wasn’t until we both studied at Unitec School of Design that we actually became really good friends. After our first year at Unitec, Alistair left to start an apprentice ship in boat building, we didn’t see each other for quite some time – until we saw each other in the Ohakune Mardigras crowd, realised we both shared a passion for the snow and pretty much hit it off from there.
Tell us about your proposal:
I was sitting in the low swinging branches of the Pohutukawa trees in Cockle Bay, we had walked there form my parents house to play with our dog – it was a beautiful summery day, Ali got down on one knee.
