Real Wedding: Charlotte + Hamish

It's no secret to those close to me that I have a little crush on today's featured photographer!! Since stumbling across her brilliant talents in January I've pestered her with hundreds of emails and racked up hours of Skype chatting and I'm privileged to now count her as a very good friend. Or her personal stalker - whatever fits! Yes I'm talking about the lovely, the wonderful, the very talented Fiona Andersen. We are well overdue for a long sitdown over a cocktail or several which is exactly what we'll be doing this time next week, but for this week we are showcasing her work with this gorgeous wedding of Charlotte & Hamish at Campbell Park Estate in the Waitaki Valley. I've been dying to get a wedding of hers up on the blog and I'm delighted that today's the day.

Fi, I love our chats, thank you for making my long evenings at the computer more enjoyable (even if I don't end up getting too much achieved!!), listening to my grumbles, bearing with my while I get so excited about things I just talk type over you and just being all around awesome!

I'll be back with more shortly but in the meantime Charlotte shares some details with us below...

How did you meet?
We have both grown up in the same small town and have bumped into each other for years until we finally really started to notice each other and after a few words from our mutual friends we found we really enjoyed each others company.
Tell us about your proposal:
We were on holiday in Australia travelling up the Great Ocean Road from Melbourne. Hamish booked a beautiful hotel room on the beach and he proposed to me before dinner in our hotel room. I had no idea he was going to do it and was shocked but delighted.
Tell us about finding your wedding dress:
My friend and bridesmaid Kristie Broad made and designed my wedding dress. I wanted something simple and elegant and she did an amazing job of making the perfect dress.
What was the inspiration for your wedding?
We have both grown up near the Waitaki lakes and still live nearby and we wanted to incorporate the lakes into our day.
