Real Wedding: Bex + Simon II

We're back with some of the gorgeous details from this Kate MacPherson wedding. And yes as many of your commented on the previous post....the shoes!!! I know, gorgeous right? Well I'm going to leave you with this as I'm off on my birthday travels for the day :-)

Describe your wedding flowers:
I wanted something simple, and not too fussy, as we were getting married on a cliff something overly pretty or too over the top would feel out of place. I saw a photo of a gypsophila ball and loved it. The rest I left up to Manuela!
Favourite detail of the day:
The sparklers. We stored 100s of sparklers after Guy Fawkes to have on hand at about 10.30pm for our guests. Seeing everyone leap around on the grass outside was so much fun. Closely follows by the cufflinks for the boy – there were refashioned scrabble tiles. Each groomsman had their initials. I loved that little detail.
What advice would you give out to someone planning their wedding?
Make sure you find a celebrant or person that you really get on with to marry you. This is the most important part of the day and I can’t stress enough the importance of finding someone that makes you feel at ease, and is in tune with you as a couple. Our celebrant was wonderful, she conducted a wonderful ceremony that Simon and I enjoyed. Her name was Julie McLagan.
Most memorable moment?
Our first dance. We’d had lessons and not told anyone so it was a real surprise for our guests and so much fun. We love our song “My Girl” by the Temptations, and it capped off an extraordinary day.
What’s next for you as a couple?
A trip to the US in the next few weeks as a delayed honeymoon, and then it’s time to save again for a house!
