Now I'm the first to admit that I'm not usually a fan of anything 'Kiwiana' style... sorry people it just doesn't float my boat. However this shoot sent in by Maree Wilkinson using the ubiquitous Pohutakawa bloom definitely appeals. I love the use of lots of white space with just that pop of pretty red... and being that is the quintessential Christmas flower around these parts then it's fitting to post right now! And the trees themselves are in full bloom down at my local beach which looks absolutely stunning! Kate & Doug are getting married in Hahei in February but for their engagement shoot they choose the stunning Mt Maunganui beach... surely one of our best? Thanks for sharing with us Maree.

Love this shoot. Never been a big fan of the b&W with a splash of colour in the photos but the pics are beautiful and it works.
