Link Love

Boy am I glad it's the weekend... this week has been non-stop and I'm sitting here about to collapse onto the keyboard such is the effort to keep my eyes open!! Definitely plan to take some time out this weekend and I have date night (dinner & a movie) with the Mr tonight so have that to look forward to!! I have spent a fun couple of afternoons with the very lovely Sofia & Andre from Brancoprata in Portugal as well as Steph from Bubblerock. We worked on a little project together of which we hope to have a peek for you next week. I'm quite sad they're leaving, it's been fabulous to get together with a blogger/stylist from the other side of the world and chat about weddings and compare them between our countries!

On a more sobering note I have to mention how harrowing a week it's been for our small country. Watching the devastation of the Earthquake has been incredibly emotional and heart wrenching. It's at times like this you have the remember at the end of the day it's not about the cake, or the flowers or the perfect shade of blue for your bridesmaids... it's about marrying the person you want to spend the rest of your life with. So to both Emily and Claire... two of my lovely clients who are getting married today... I wish you the best wedding day ever!! And to the people of Christchurch and all the families who have lost loved ones, you continue to be in my thoughts.

Love all the wood details in this wedding...
A pretty southern affair...
A love story...
A little backyard beauty...

It's certainly been a hard week, and I hope today's weddings going off without a hitch for your lucky brides!

After a few harrowing weeks of neighbor harassment, we found a perfect place last night (the first apartment we looked at). My sweetheart's parents are taking care of the movers, who will pack and move all our stuff-heaven! I can't wait to

Happy wedding to your brides! I can only imagine the heartbreak that everyone is going through...such devestation and loss. I was in the big earthquake in San Fransico in 1989, and to see the damage that a large quake can do is mindboggling...roads cracked wide open and rippling, building turned into piles of stones. We lost our old victorian home (it was rented out at the time) that was a hisotric landmark and my childhood home. My heart and prayers go out to everyone. May the pieces be put back together and hearts mend!

I however am so thrilled that you Sofia, and Steph and the opportunity to spend some time together - how totally exciting! Can't wait to see what you three cooked up ;-)))

As always - love your link love...it's a little bit of sunshine on a cold, grey and possibly a little snow day!

Enjoy your weekend sweets...and get some rest ;-)))

xoxo

Our prayers are with the earthquake victims of Christchurch. Anyone around the world could go through a similar natural disaster. Everyone stay safe!
