Vintage Shoot from Caringo Photographix

Whilst today's feature isn't technically an wedding or even an engagement shoot it's nonetheless lots of fun and certainly very inspiring. I stumbled upon the work of Carmen & Ingo from Caringo Photographix in Germany a few weeks back and was delighted to see that they were actually traveling through New Zealand at the time of reading their blog, and had just posted this fun shoot they did in Oamaru... a lovely little town in the South Island. They didn't even plan on stopping in the town, however stopping briefly for coffee, they felt inspired by the heritage buildings they saw and went about asking some locals if they would be interested in modeling for a shoot. As luck would have it they found their models... and then some. The locals all came together and provided them with props and flowers, and clothing and the next day they spent 5 hours shooting! Just goes to show you what a bit of ingenuity and resourcefulness can do for you! To read more of the story and see the entire shoot head over to their blog here... and mind you have a few hours free as you may just get stuck there like I did reading all about their fabulous six months of travelling! Thanks Carmen & Ingo for letting me share this here today, and I hope you settle back into life at home ok!!

And the fact that it was all put together kind of randomly and with the help of locals: this is one-of-a-kind!

This shoot is beautiful, and I love that they really committed to a more complicated theme-the photos more than paid off!

This shoot is so amazing. So glad that you posted something vintage but that's not the same era as we all have done. So nice to see, Kate.
