Bohemian style wedding by Danelle Bohane...

I am totally in love with this wedding from (new to me) Auckland photographer Danelle Bohane!! I'm thrilled to have discovered her work as it's just gorgeous!! I can only imagine how difficult a job the bride and groom had deciding which photos to use as there is such an abundance of stunning shots. Let's start with the pretty hair wreaths that the bride and her maids are wearing... how adorable are they? And that little chapel is beyond perfect. Church weddings don't seem to be all that common in New Zealand... in fact I have very few friends who had church weddings and with my clients it's definitely more that don't than do, so it's lovely to see such a sweet lovely chapel available with such character. Elle the lovely bride shares some words about their day with us...

Matty popped the question from a hot air balloon and although we were both living in Sydney- we decided we wanted to get married in my homeland NZ - that proved the biggest adventure of our planning- doing it from another country! Luckily we had so much family that helped us out..

Our photographer Danelle suggested bridesmaid shots before the ceremony so we ambushed Hamilton gardens and got to frolic in the woods before the wedding - our ceremony venue was the most beautiful rustic chapel with dried flowers hanging from the ceiling. I wanted a really soft, vintage feel to the day. I found matching pink flower crowns for the girls to wear from the UK and got my head piece specially made by a lovely Etsy seller. My dress was custom made by Sera Lilly and it was exactly what I wanted- floaty and lacey.

We had a few rain showers after the ceremony but Danelle powered on and she got the most beautiful shots despite us being bare foot and knee deep in grass fields. The whole day was perfect and went sooo fast. My advice to any couple is to take moments throughout the day and soak them up. You'll be recalling the day for the rest of your lives so enjoy every second!

Kate...this is one of the prettiest bohemian weddings posted. I love that it just seems to organic and natural. Nothing seems forced, nothing seems overly staged. The woods, the venue, the flower halo in her hair...every detail of this wedding is gorgeous...as is the bride...naturally.
