Good morning Friday!! I thought we'd take a break from all the fall inspired boards I've been featuring lately and have some good ol' summery and girly inspiration. There's not a lot of spice to this though... I'd say it's pure sweet sugar!! Wouldn't you just love to lie back in that gorgeous field of flowers!! I know I would!
Thank you so so much for all the lovely birthday wishes yesterday... I was completely overwhelmed with all the twitter and facebook messages!! We had an interesting start to the day... we were dog sitting Diesel... my parents big black horse of a dog who.. bless him.. really doesn't have a whole lot between those lovely silky ears of his!! And that truly is putting it kindly! We've just put our name down for a puppy so we jumped at the chance to look after Diesel for a few days... you know to get in training etc. We have wooden floors throughout our house, and it's surrounded by decking... well Diesel doesn't like to walk on wood!! AT. ALL. Like not even so much as a paw print! My husband was even down on all fours at one point showing him how easy it was. And let me tell you trying to get 55kgs of a dog to move is no easy feat! Anyway we just left him in the entrance way to the house (inside) in his bed on a square of carpet. What followed was a tortuous night sleep as he whined worse that a homesick child at a bad scouts camp. Like this wasn't the sort of whining you could just pull the covers up and ignore. I lay in bed listening to this traumatised dog, so distraught at being away from the clutches of my Dad, that is was truly unbearable. Thinking he'd eventually wear himself out and go to sleep we left him be for a while. No, he had other plans... and they certainly didn't involve sleep! We both got up several times but to no avail. So long story short.... we shipped him off south 4 hours to be reunited with my parents!! Thankfully my brother was driving down cause I'm not sure how we would have coped with another night of that... and I don't think poor Diesel's heart would have taken it! So yes we've put our name down for a puppy of our own, but I'm not too sure we passed the first test!
