Lovely venue

Now I'm definitely an outdoor wedding kinda gal....but if I were to get married indoors (not that I plan to again :-) I think this would be the kind of venue I'd choose! I love the combination of the whitewash beams with those gorgeous chandeliers and the tree branches up at the 'altar'. Tres chic. To see more of this lovely wedding click here.

Bridal Shower venue

I recently came across Smith, a cute little bar in the Britomart area of downtown Auckland, and it got me thinking it would be a great place to do 'high tea'....something I used to do at The Ritz once a year when living in London...oh so posh! It's a lovely way to spend an afternoon with your girlfriends, and is a great way to celebrate a bridal shower or refined hens do! And how gorgeous is that decor? I love all the frames on that green wall and those chairs look like you could get stuck in them for hours! Check out www.smith-bar.co.nz.

Not just any ol' Church!

I was recently in the Hawkes Bay and visited this fantastic restaurant and venue called The Old Church in Meeanee. Set amongst the vines, this would make for a gorgeous, not to mention romantic wedding location and luckily for all you brides in the area they can cater for up to 200 people. The interior is filled with amazing luxurious decor, with no detail being spared - and I can certainly attest to the food, it was a taste sensation! You can't really go wrong with the array of gastronomic talent in the area, not to mention some of the best wines New Zealand has to offer. NZ Tropical Escape
