Board#211: Figs & Berries

I'll never tire of the addition of fruit in bouquets and centrepieces. This incredible centrepiece by Amy Merrick combines apples with ferns and lotus pods and a myriad of other pretty blooms. Ok so not ALL fruits can work (bananas would be somewhat ridiculous don't you think... although quite sure somewhere somehow it's been done!!), but berries, figs, apricots, peaches, oranges, lemons... I've seen them all used to great effect. And you can carry it through to other areas of your table decor as well.

Plum Perfect Inspiration Board...

So the ol' bloggity blog is suffering a bit from my time-poor life right now and I'm having to rely a little on reposting. This is a board I did for The Perfect Palette a few weeks back. Using a recent invitation job I did for inspiration, the colour palette was just so incredibly pretty and luscious. With warm rose and plum tones, combined with a grey-brown shade it excludes girly sophistication. I love the idea of bringing berries into your bouquet or table decor to work these colours into the rest of your day. I hope this adds a little pretty to your day!

What's your wedding style? IX

Woohoo, we've made it through another week! Can you believe Christmas is in 4 weeks? Scary. I haven't given it so much as a passing thought so I can see it's all going to be a bit last minute! And today I'd also like to wish a very Happy Thanksgiving to all our US readers!

So you've gotta love the colours going on in this board right? Opulent and rich and pretty all at once. Would make for a stunning autumn wedding me thinks. Loving the purple with that pop of chartreuse green. If you'd like to see our previous Wedding Style posts click here.
