Favour fancy

The tradition of handing out wedding favours is one that goes back centuries, and today it's becoming a big part of the reception planning. Whilst the 5 almonds (representing health, wealth, happiness, fertility and long life) used to be a standard offering and is still followed, these days there is no limit to the options available; from tree saplings and coffee beans, to personalised cd's and crystal glasses.
It is seen as a token of appreciation to your guests, and gratitude for their love and support. Whilst by no means an essential item on the wedding planning list, they are becoming more popular and it's a fun way to add a creative and personal element to your wedding decor. Most favours are placed at each place setting, so they're designed to match the stationery and flowers on the table. Others may be displayed enmasse at a favour table, again adding another visual element.
Many favours are 'themed' around the tone of the wedding and can range from the most practical to the most frivolous. Many brides choose to put considerable time into them and make their own or enlist the help of their bridesmaids! Below is a selection of some novel ideas that we love! The packaging options are endless......makes my fingers itch just thinking about the things I could do!
