Real Wedding: Natacha + Gareth

If you're a girly girl then sit back and take a break....you're in for a feast of prettiness with this real wedding. Natacha was one of my clients, and her and Gareth are truly as cute as pie!!! She explained when we first met that they were very young and it had all been a bit of a whirlwind, but when you know, you know!! How true that is Natacha!! There Kerikeri wedding was captured by Perry Trotter and it's just full of unabashed girlishness!! Natacha tells us a bit of their story...

How did you meet?
We were introduced by a couple of close friends outside Vector Arena before the Kings of Leon Concert two years ago. It was love at first sight; we have spent nearly every day together ever since!
Tell us about the proposal:
Gareth and I are both very keen sailors and spend a lot of time having adventures on our yacht. One windy winters day Gareth insisted we take the yacht out despite the unappealing weather. He took me to Brown’s Island in the Hauraki Gulf, one of our favourite summer picnic spots. We anchored and made our way up the steep cliff with a big picnic basket full of goodies. At the very top Gareth laid out a cosy picnic mat and wrapped me up in a warm blanket. After a delicious lunch, he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife!
Tell us about finding your wedding dress:
After visiting many stores across Auckland with no success I came across Tutta Bella, the most gorgeous wedding gown boutique I had ever seen. Lesley the stores lovely owner helped me into a couple of gowns that were gorgeous but weren’t “the one”. Luci di Bella one of Lesley’s favoured Melbourne designers was having her trunk show the following week, featuring her brand new range of gowns. Amongst those was the most beautiful dress in the world, that I immediately knew would knock the socks off Gareth when he saw me in it! Lesley helped me select beautiful hand made French lace to adorn the bust area and gave me very helpful suggestions as to what jewellery, shoes and hairstyles would complement the dress. She made the entire process of selecting a wedding dress so exciting, exactly how it should be.
