Real Wedding: Kate + Keith Part II

I'm all for weekend weddings....or long drawn out affairs. They're such a bonding experience for all involved. Our wedding went over three days and the cocktail party the night before and the day on the beach afterwards were easily as much fun as the wedding day itself. And Fiji is the perfect location to do this. Everyone's relaxed, and has time to get to know other guests. This wedding by Greta Kenyon is a STUNNING example and it looks like it was fun all round. And it sounds like the Hilton is a top notch place to consider if you're looking at Fiji as an option.

Thanks so much Greta for sending this over and I wish the happy couple a very happy future together!

What advise would you give out to someone planning their wedding?
Don’t stress – enjoy it. It is a beautiful day of celebrating your love for the person you have choosen to build a life with and you are surrounded by people who love and want the best for you so don’t stress about the small stuff. Have fun and enjoy it because it will be over before you want it to be.
Most memorable moment?
There were so many wonderful moments. The speeches, the sun coming out mid-ceremony, my dad walking me down the isle, Keith saying his vows, me saying mine – having so many of our closest friends and family in Fiji for a glorious week of fun!!
What’s next for you as a couple?
Our honeymoon!! None of my English-based family came so we are going to visit them later this year which will be our ‘honeymoon’. It’s nice to have that to look forward to so it wasn’t anti-climatic after the wedding (which is what I’ve heard from some people).

Greta from Vela images was a complete star – she ran around in the Fijian heat making sure that she got all the photos she needed. We tested her skills by planning the ceremony just before sunset so we were really tight on time for getting the bridal photos but she did an amazing, job with grace and boundless energy.
The Fiji Hilton were amazing – they went above and beyond everything we asked for, the food was great, the venue was perfect for us – they even groomed the beach the day of the wedding so it looked perfect for the ceremony, they helped my grandmother source flowers for the bridesmaids at the last minute. We had a apartment at the Hilton and had a few BBQs before and after the wedding – the venue worked so well. Plus having so many resorts near by gave our guests plenty of accommodation options.

We spent our honeymoon in Fiji and these photos are making me sentimental. It's such a beautiful place. This couple is so lucky to have been married there!
