Ben makes his living as a brewer so had a ton of fun creating and brewing our wedding beer! He brewed a delicious Pilsner called “Dock and a Dog Pils”, in honor of the location where he popped the question (out on his dock on Montana’s Big Sky Lake with our beloved dog Duncan swimming in the background) and “Best Man Belgian Brown” in honor of his brother, Chip. Ben also took the liberty of designing the tap handles...one of which displayed a lovely picture of a sobbing Chip at age 2. Perfect! We also decided to create personalized menus for each guest as a keepsake, as well as craft the ceremony programs with the help of both the mother and father of the bride. We had so much fun collaborating on our “Thank You” to our parents, friends and extended families and felt that it was a wonderful opportunity to let them know how much we appreciated all they had done for us.
We also worked with my Dad to secure the late night food – a Spokane staple, Tacos Tumbras, arrived with their truck to serve DELICIOUS tacos to all of the guests prior to boarding the charter bus at the end of the night. It was such a fun surprise and the guests (along with Ben and I) really appreciated and loved the scrumptious late night snack! Finally, I surprised Ben with a letter prior to the ceremony explaining that I had lockets placed on my bouquet containing pictures of his late mother and grandfather as well as those of my grandmother and grandfather. It was a wonderful way to preserve the memories of our loved ones not with us on our big day and bring them to the forefront as we exchanged our vows.
Thank you so much to Kirk for sending this gorgeous wedding in - be sure to head over to his blog to check out more of his work - and to Christy and Ben for sharing their day with us! I wish you all the best for a life full of happiness!!

Gorgeous wedding! That garden is stunning. I love the sign on the back of the car too and the brides dress is so dramatic.
