Using your invitations to inspire other wedding elements...

Happy September 1st (kinda first day of spring no? or is that officially the 21st?) A  few weeks ago I did a couple of guests posts for my friends Chris and Melissa and as I'm utterly swamped right now with little time to put together blog posts, I thought I'd share the posts I did for them with you today. I wanted to show how you can take inspiration from your invitations and use it to carry the theme through with your cake or bouquet. It doesn't have to be a literal translation of it (although depending on the design this can work well) but even using a hint of the stationery design will ensure you have a streamlined look to your day. So I've paired up some of my designs with some simply stunning bouquets... and of course the most delish looking cakes! I hope these inspire you to think about making a connection between your stationery and other elements you choose for the day. What your favourite combination?

I love it when a wedding 'theme' follows through all the details, and these ideas are all gorgeous! I love the Olive design, the bouquet is so striking!

EVERYTHING you make is pure perfection, Kate! I love how each invite represents the photo so well. And olives in a bouquet? I love that idea because it's so clever :)
