I've done a number of invitations using twine. Combined with corrugated or woven card it gives a truly rustic appeal but it works equally well with a simple invitation on white or combined with a print. Follow though with it on the tables, and wrap your napkins/menus in it, add personalised handwritten name tags or messages and your look will start to come together. What's your wedding style? XII
Our first 'What's your wedding style?" series for 2010. If you're new to Magnolia Rouge, these are just little mini snippets of inspiration with some of our stationery to match. To check out some of the previous posts click here. So we're kick starting this years board with a little country style! Like I've said....or rather harked on about....I love a good ol' rustic wedding and if I could do it all over again I couldn't go past that fabulous barn with the curtains - which I know has featured heavily in blogging world but hey, when something is that good, use and reuse! I'm also smitten with the sawn log for a cake stand, and anything that involves burlap and twine...I'm all over it. To keep it all from looking a bit drab use lots of fresh white, or accent it with a colour. For a more wintery style wedding I love a burnt orange or a warm curry yellow.
