When a client begins to describe her vision for her wedding stationery, whimsical is one word that always gets me excited! I know that it gives me leeway to be a little playful with the design which is always enticing. This was a fun suite I did earlier in the year for Aly & Mike, who wanted to include their pets in the design, and have an earthy feel to the overall look. Some sweet details were put into the envelope liner with the names and date highlighted, I drew a fun map for them, and of course twine was involved!! They also had these fun escort cards to show their guests to their tables. Since then I've done this design in a couple of other colour ways below...

For Sarah & Simon's upcoming wedding they chose the same design in a taupe and navy combination on ivory, which was a different colour combo for me... and I think it turned out lovely.
And lastly for Sheri & Gareth's wedding this summer they chose to have it in Aubergine and Grass, with the sweet addition of their kitty sitting at the bottom of the tree!
So what's your favourite combination?

Kate, you genius - I adore these. Absolutely adore. The dogs are my favourite (because I'm a dog person) but I love all the colour combos. LOVE the envelope liners and also the "tie the knot" detail, as well as the couples' initials on the tree. Seriously, seriously lovely!
Your work is always exquisite and beautiful!! Congratulations Kate!
i heart your work kate!!
Wow - I love these - they remind me a little bit of our wedding invites with tree detail and the greens, browns and purples. LOVE THEM!
