Outfit of the week - Navy & Tan

So since my Tuesday Shoesday posts have turned into whole outfit posts I thought it was time to change the title... and let's face it I was always pushing the boundaries of getting this up on a Tuesday (well in my time zone!). How cute is the style of this dress? And whilst I'm not usually a navy girl (she says whilst wearing a navy shirt!!) I adore it with this ivory and tan combo.

TuesdayShoesday {for the love of nautical dressing}

Eeekkk... I'm seriously LOVING this outfit!! So much so I couldn't just choose one pair of shoes... had to go for two! I'm on a bit of a nautical kick this week.. not sure why, perhaps because we've seen signs of spring around here, and I'm dying for warm summer days out on the water!! I was pretty bad last summer at getting out on the water so must make more effort this year! How cute are these little colour block shoes? And the ivory brogues with the jacket and shorts give the outfit a real Katherine Hepburn look to me. Definitely a cute wee outfit for swanning around on some fabulous luxury launch!

We're glamming it up this week! I am d-d-dying over these dresses... the colour is utterly scrumptious!! If you recognise this green from somewhere it's because it's wearer has since become one of the most photographed girls in the world!! Pippa Middleton wore a stunning Alice Temperley gown to the wedding after party and was one of my favourite looks from the whole royal wedding. So of course these gowns jumped out of the page at me right away. Whilst I think all eyes would be on the gown, I think you would have to go in for some sky scraper gold heels to do the dress justice. Accessories... well you barely need any. Which would you go for ladies? (Please don't look at the price, this is purely fantasy :-)

You've been lying in the sun all day and you heading out for cocktails and al fresco dining in your tropical paradise (are you still with me?)and of course you want to look chic but comfortable since you may have just fallen asleep in the sun you were so relaxed.... And you don't need pesky straps scratching. Doesn't this just look like the ultimate comfortable dress? And it certainly doesn't compromise in style especially when paired with fab leather sandals and accessories.

One part glam, one part rock and roll... all parts gorgeous!! Sure you could pair this with some lovely metallic heels... or flats, but don't the red boots just give it a little edge? I would keep the red as the only colour and pile up the chunky gold bracelets. Super sexy me thinks!

This is very very similar to the entire ensemble I purchased last week!! I'm loving my little ankle boots... except they don't have the very sexy peep toe and fringing that these ones have... nevertheless very happy with my buy!

Aside from the price (that's my expensive but out of reach taste for ya!!) this may just be the prettiest dress I've seen!! I love everything about it... the colour, the shape, the soft draping... and as you can see it really doesn't need a whole lot in the way of accessories. It's perfect in it's simplicity. Although gotta say a tan wouldn't go amiss!! I debated going with a bold fun red shoe... which I think would also look fab, but this is classic, you really can't go wrong with this.

I have a from day to night holiday ensemble for you this week. I couldn't decide whether to go casual or dressy so I did a bit of both, and gold sandals, flat or high take any outfit from ho-hum to well, sparkly yumminess (sorry lame but that's the best I could come up with)... and it could also be something to do with the fact that although it's merely the start of winter, I'm longing for some days in the hot sun around a pool in some tropical locale, with a watermelon cocktail in hand, delivered to me by the waiter who.... ooops getting carried away! I don't want much do I? This dress looks like the ulitmate in comfort after you've spent a little too long in the sun and don't want anything clingy. And it looks great with any colour accessory... I nearly went for turquoise which also looked so pretty, but couldn't resist this fabulous orange Kate Spade statement necklace.

I adore these gold Miu Miu pumps... perfect for a wedding - as a guest or a bride! I'm also loving the one shoulder look right now... although I'm yet to find an occasion to wear one to, but I think this one is gorgeous and for something different I've paired it with a more masculine blazer as let's face it you often end up leaving the party with your partners jacket thrown round your shoulders anyway right? And it actually looks kinda cute when buttoned up having the frilly skirt underneath.

There's nothing like a good wedge heel!! They make having some height just that much easier to bear... if you're anything like me I'm fine wearing high heels just as long as I'm sitting but as soon as I have to walk more than 50m... well it's all about comfort!! I love the little touch of orange at the toe... it makes the shoe! And I'm really digging these boyfriend jeans right now... cause you still get to show off the fabulous shoes you're wearing!

I'm didn't realise until I posted this how similar it was in tone to last weeks TuesdayShoesday post... oh well, it's a colour combo I love so we're revisiting it again! I love how the green pops against the sophisticated metallics. And whilst the jury was out for me regarding the peep toe ankle boot a while back, I have to admit I'm warming to them and there are actually a lot of things you can wear with them.
